Sami Phuyal, DNP, APRN, FNP-C

Sami Phuyal, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She works in psychiatry at the Mental Health Clinic of Idaho in Meridian, Idaho, and is fluent in Nepali and Hindi.

Sami earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Nepal Institute of Health Sciences in Kathmandu, Nepal. She worked as an instructor at the university for two years before moving to the United States.

In the United States, Sami gained clinical experience as a registered nurse in hospital settings, kidney care, and behavioral health. She was a recipient of the Nurse Practitioners of Idaho scholarship for her work in improving the health system navigation for Bhutanese refugees in Boise, and she earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho.

After becoming a family nurse practitioner, Sami primarily worked in psychiatry at Serenity Wellness and All Seasons Mental Health in Boise. She then opened the Mental Health Clinic of Idaho, providing comprehensive psychiatric care for adults, teens, and children as young as seven.

Sami specializes in comprehensive evaluations for common mental health conditions like depression, anxiety, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). She is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care, and her services are available via telehealth and in person.
